What we collect
This website has no contact form. We collect information when you call, email or book work with us:
- Your name, phone number and email address.
- The address of the property and details about the project, such as the floor type, the age of the building and the scope of work.
- Photos of the work area, before and after the job.
- Quotes, work records, invoices and payment records.
- Records we must keep for safety, waste disposal and asbestos work.
Our web host may also log basic technical details when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you view. We use these logs for security and to keep the site running.
Why we collect it
- To answer your questions, visit the site, quote the job and book the work.
- To do the work safely and to keep the records the law asks for.
- To send invoices and handle payments.
- To follow up after a job and to ask for a review, if you agree.
- To measure and improve our advertising, such as Google Ads.
Consent
When you contact us or book work, you agree that we may use your information for the reasons above. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us. If you do, we may not be able to complete some services. We only show a client’s name, photos or review on our website when we have permission.
Google, social media and other services
We use Google Ads to advertise. We also use Google Business Profile, Google Maps (embedded maps on our Contact and city pages) and Google Fonts. When you use these, Google may collect information such as your IP address and set its own cookies. Read Google’s privacy policy to see how Google handles it.
We also have pages on Facebook and Instagram, which are run by Meta, and we run paid ads on Google, Facebook and Instagram. If you click or view our ads, or if you message us, comment or interact with our posts or stories, Google or Meta collects that information under its own policies. These platforms may use cookies and similar tools to show our ads and measure the results. You can manage your ad settings in your Google and Meta accounts. We receive reports from them, such as how many people saw or clicked an ad, and these reports do not name you. Read Meta’s privacy policy and Instagram’s privacy policy. We may also use these pages to share photos of our work, with the client’s permission.
This website does not currently set cookies of its own for analytics or advertising. If we add tracking tools in future, we will update this page and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only when needed:
- With an independent asbestos consultant, when your job needs testing.
- With landfills and recyclers that take the waste, and with city permit offices, when the job requires it.
- With our insurer, the Workers’ Compensation Board and other bodies we must report to.
- With service providers who help us run the business, such as email, phone, accounting and advertising providers. They may use your information only to do their work for us.
- When the law requires it, or to protect our legal rights.
Storage outside Canada
Some of our service providers, including Google and Meta, may store or handle information in the United States and other countries outside Canada. If you have questions about this, contact our Privacy Officer.
Security and how long we keep it
We protect personal information with reasonable safeguards, such as limited access and secure systems. We keep information only as long as we need it for the job, for our business records or for legal reasons. After that, we delete it or make it anonymous.
Your rights
- You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you.
- You can ask us to correct it.
- You can withdraw your consent.
Send your request to the email above. We will answer within 45 days, as PIPA requires. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta.
Security incidents
If a security incident creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will report it to the Alberta Information and Privacy Commissioner and tell the people affected, as the law requires.
Email and messages
We send emails or texts only when you ask for them or when they relate to your job. Each marketing message will show who we are and how to opt out, as Canada’s anti-spam law requires.
Children
Our website and services are for property owners, managers and businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
